FAERING LTD. EXHIBIT AT THE MEET THE MANUFACTURER EVENT, MAY 2016.
For those of you following me on social media, you will know that for the last 9 months I have taken some time out from designing and producing products for Bailey Hills. I have been working full time at commission digital print company Faering Ltd. with my business partner Nick Morley. We have been production ready since February after 18 months of planning & setting up a small factory in Wigston, Leicestershire. We use the Shima Seiki flat bed printer which can print on all natural fabrics (wool, cotton, linen, silk etc) and knitwear and we specialise in printing on wool and cashmere. The printer is also ideal for printing on fabrics which are textured, uneven or hairy.
Needless to say, we have and continue to be, on a steep learning curve with all the technical issues involved in this new venture, we have worked extremely hard, but it has also been exciting to see our print work grace the catwalk shows in London Fashion Week AW16 last February and the recent London Menswear collections SS17. We are now a team of 4 permanent staff as orders are increasing. For more information about Faering’s services, see www.faering.co.uk
I will also be continuing with my own work for Bailey Hills soon.
